I’ve learned many great lessons over the years, but one that comes to mind that I’ve been particularly connected to. 

-It’s the leader’s job to initiate a connection with the people in your organization.

If you really want to make a difference, have an impact and get things done it’s up to you to reach out.  I’m started my 8th day on my new job, and I’ve only eaten alone once.  I’m in the process of getting to know everyone.  It’s not their job to make me feel welcome – they’re busy. 

So get out of your office, and start buying some people lunch.  You’ll be glad you did
